Our Concealed Handgun instructors have been licensed by the Texas Department of Public Safety since the inception of the CHL law in 1996. We have certified several hundred people as eligible for the license during that period. We would enjoy adding you to our list of graduates.

We have a firm conviction that every law-abiding American has the right of self defense, the right to have the means of self defense available, and perhaps more importantly, the right to defend his family and loved ones.

We also believe that those who choose to arm themselves with a deadly weapon owe it to themselves, their family, and their community to obtain the best training possible before they depend upon that weapon for their protection. The inappropriate use of a firearm can have devastating consequence, to both the perpetrator and the victim.

Our Concealed Handgun License classes are conducted in compliance with the concealed handgun law and the rules promulgated by the Texas Department of Public Safety. Although the course content is mandated by DPS we place a heavy emphasis on the use of force law and when it is acceptable to display or use the handgun.

In order to better accommodate our valued customers we hold the classes on both Saturday and Sundays at varied locations. The class, as mandated by law, is ten hours for a new license and four hours for a renewal.

The CHL class is not a learn to shoot class. If you are not experienced in handling a handgun we strongly suggest that you obtain at least a basic knowledge of safe gun handling and marksmanship before registering for the class. Although the course of fire is extremely easy it is important that you become familiar with your gun. Safety is job one on our ranges and safety rules are strictly enforced. See the basic courses link for some training ideas.
