challenge to those with a basic knowledge of handgun shooting. There
are however some things a student should master before coming to a
class. Learn how to load the magazines or speed loader. Know how
to load and unload the gun. If the gun has a safety learn how to
move it to the off (fire) position.
Practice at home until you can safely and efficiently do it.
The course consist of 50 shots:
-
20 from the 3-yard line (15 feet)
-
20 from the 7-yard line (21 feet)
-

A score of 70% qualifies. That is 175
of 250 possible. Just 35 shots within the 8-ring would qualify the
shooter. The 8-ring is an oval - 17.5 inches high and 12 inches
wide. Not quite as big as the side of a barn but nonetheless
an easy target.
And please be familiar with the
rules of firearm safety! We do
not allow careless gun handling.
